If the scan fails the meter will display the following screen.

SCANNING VP
VP OUT OF RANGE

An incorrect wire length or an impedance mismatch can cause this error code.

Insure that the length being entered is in the proper units currently displayed by the unit I. E. inches, meters, ft.- in. (see Display Mode).

Set the meter to the proper impedance (see 3. Setting the Impedance).
